Beverage Industry High School Scholarship 2023: Apply Now

The Christermon Foundation is a non-profit organization of the beverage and alcoholic beverage industries, and sponsors the Beverage Industry High School Scholarship.

 

It was founded in 1987 with the intention of supporting worthy charities and developing a scholarship program.

 

Since then, the Foundation has given more than 6.7 million dollars to over 3,000 California students whose parents and/or grandparents own or work full-time for an individual or corporation with a California liquor license. 

 

The 2023 application will be available in the middle of the fall of 2022. Manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and customers in the beverage industry sponsor and support Beverage Industry Scholarships. 

 

The Foundation is proud to manage and maintain the entire scholarship program for sponsoring companies. 

 

Scholarship checks in the amount of the total amount donated by corporate sponsors and the Christermon Foundation are mailed directly to the student’s college and used for tuition and housing.

This award is available to current high school seniors in California who have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who owns a California liquor license or works full-time for an individual or corporation that owns a California liquor license.

Beverage Industry High School Scholarship Requirements

 

The following are the requirements to submit an application for the Beverage Industry High School Scholarship:

Beverage Industry High School Scholarship Eligibility

 

Students must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

 

• This award is only available to students in the United States.
• You must be a California resident.
• Must have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who owns or works full-time for an individual or company with a valid California liquor or beer/wine license.
• You must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Full-time enrollment is required.
• During his/her junior and senior years of high school, he/she must have participated in one or more of the following extracurricular activities: community service, athletics, music, or the performing arts. The activity must benefit his or her school while taking place outside of regular school hours.
• You must be a senior in high school who plans to attend a four-year college or university.

 

Scholarship Worth

 

The annual award amount ranges from $3,000 to $6,000 and is not renewable.

Scholarship deadline

 

The application deadline for this scholarship is on the 15th of February, 2023.

 

How to Apply

 

Applications can be found on the Christermon Foundation’s website. The application must be filled out online. 

 

After completing the application, the student must print the generated application and mail it to the address provided, along with all required supporting materials. 

 

In addition to the completed application, the student must submit the following materials: a statement on company letterhead, signed by the relative whose eligibility he/she is applying for, stating the length of full-time employment and the number of hours worked per week; an essay that follows the online instructions; and a completed ‘Extra Curricular and Community Service Activity Reference Worksheet. 

 

The student will be required to submit an official transcript as proof of academic achievement. 

 

Once the student has generated his or her application, further instructions will be provided. 

 

The application for this scholarship, along with any and all supporting documents, must be submitted electronically and must be received by the 15th of February, 2023 in order to be considered. After February 15, 2023, applications that are incomplete will no longer be considered.
