The John S W Fargher Jr Scholarship 2023 is now open for applications

The John S W Fargher Jr Scholarship is available to undergraduate students who are enrolled in any school in the United States and its territories, Canada, or Mexico. 

The only requirements for eligibility are that the school’s engineering program or equivalent be accredited by an agency recognized by IISE and that the student be pursuing a course of study in industrial engineering or engineering management.

The students must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher and be members of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers to be eligible to compete for this award.

John S.W. Fargher Jr. Scholarship: Eligibility

To be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must be graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited industrial engineering program at a college in the United States who are attending school full-time and have at least one full academic year left to complete their degree. 

In addition to this, candidates need to have a degree in either engineering management or industrial engineering, and they need to be active members who have demonstrated leadership in industrial engineering-related activities. 

Students are not permitted to submit their own applications for this scholarship; rather, they must be nominated.

John S W Fargher Jr Scholarship: Criteria 

Students must prove that they meet all of the following requirements in order to be eligible:

• At the time you apply for this award, you must be a current undergraduate or graduate student.
• Must be a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) as shown on his or her October chapter roster or have joined the organization before October. In order for a student to be eligible, their applications to become new members need to be completely processed before the month of September comes to a close.
• Must currently be enrolled in a program leading toward a degree in industrial engineering.
• Required to be a full-time student at the institution.
• Required to have a grade point average in undergraduate work of at least 3.4.
• You are required to have the intention of attending a college or university in the United States, any of its territories, Canada, or Mexico.
• This award is open to students from both the United States and other countries.

The amount of the award is $2,000 per year, and it is not renewable.
