University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools, and are awarded on the basis of academic performance and potential to international and EU students who have applied for and been offered a place for eligible full-time Masters degrees at the University of Sussex.

The scholarship is available to the international applicants who wish to study PG programs at University. The total no. of the scholarship available is 25.
The scholarship is a partial fee waiver and reduces up to 50% of tuition fees for international PG applicants. The scholarship is non-renewable. The students have to demonstrate amazing academic excellence for getting the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes
- Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2023
- Be self-financing
- Have excellent academic grades
Funding Details
The international students are eligible for different kinds of student loans and funding options which include international scholarships, Ph.D. studentships, Master’s degree funding to study in the U.K.
The university provides Chancellor’s International Scholarships to students applying for a full-time postgraduate degree program to get additional funding to support their education. It covers 50% of the tuition fee and it is non-renewable.
The application deadline for the scholarship is August 01, 2021. As the number of scholarships is limited, interested candidates are advised to apply for the same as early as possible.

Application Process
Scholarship applications open 12 April 2023.
To be considered for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship, you need to have received and accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters at Sussex. Then, you must complete the separate application form online, after you have received an offer to study at Sussex.
The students need to submit a statement of academic interests and should provide clear information to the university about:
- Drive and ambitions
- Applicant’s ambitious plan post completing his/her studies on returning to home country
- Relevant work experience, skills or extra-curricular activities that relate to applicants’ ambitions and/or chosen course.
In order to get considered for the scholarship, you need to showcase excellent grades in your most recent qualification.
Also, the students have to submit the application online only as no offline forms are available. The applicant has to fill in personal details like name, contact information, education qualification, background details.
The deadline is 26 April 2023.
Selection Criteria
The criterion of selection is that an applicant must meet the eligibility criteria set by the University.
The student must have submitted the application form along with a statement by the mentioned deadline.
The write up mentions the applicant’s ambition plans.
An international student has to meet English language requirements or should have completed a pre-sessional English course.
The criteria for getting selected for a scholarship also include performance in the interview session.
Students will be evaluated based on the information provided in the application form. Information provided with the master’s application may be used as part of the assessment.
The scholarship Office will contact the applicant after the final decision is taken. The application of non-eligible candidates will be withdrawn.
